Floyd Mayweather Net Worth

Floyd Mayweather is a world famous boxer with a net worth of $400 million. It’s been estimated that the pro boxing champion earns as much as $100 million per fight, and that’s what makes him such a wealthy man. One of the most famous boxers in the history of the sport, he’s seen great success and that has allowed him to amass an impressive net worth. Born in 1977 in Michigan, Mayweather has won six major championships and never lost a match. His career earnings total more than $695 million, with his biggest win for one single fight totaling an impressive $250 million against Manny Pacquiao in May 2015.

Now retired, Floyd Mayweather is not entirely out of the game. He can be seen attending many events in the sports industry, standing on red carpets and contributing his opinion to a number of sports events. Boxing comes naturally to Mayweather, as he is the son of Floyd Mayweather Sr., and the both his uncles were also pro boxers. He began training when he was very young, perfecting his game and making sure he would be remembered as the best boxer in his generation – and he is. He once said that he never considered doing anything else in his life; boxing was his only plan in life and he didn’t even have a backup.

Despite the fact that he was raised by a famous father in the boxing industry, Floyd Mayweather did not have an easy childhood. His mother was a drug addict, and Mayweather would often come home from school to find her passed out after a high in the house and find drug needles in his own front yard and all over the home. He was raised by his mother more than his father, which meant living in a one-bedroom home with six other people and more often than not no electricity. He trained hard his entire life so he could get himself out of that life.

There is some dispute about his childhood, as his father was a famous drug dealer and boxer who claimed his kids never wanted for anything, and that his accusations of living with his mother in a home with nothing are not true. The only thing that the two can agree on is the fact that it was Mayweather Sr. who took his son to the gym during the day to train and that it’s because of him that he is where he is today – until he was arrested.

Floyd Mayweather retired in 2015, and he now lives in a mansion in Nevada. He has managed to stay out of trouble for the past few years, though he’s been in trouble several times for domestic issues with one particular ex-girlfriend. She’s even filed a lawsuit against him in the sum of $20 million after Mayweather told Katie Couric that most of his time in jail and his trouble with the law was not ‘real’ and that it was all fabricated by his ex, who is a drug addict.

My kids love to whine, so I love to wine. My loves include nap time, bed time, date night, travel and evenings and weekends when my husband is home because he handles all diaper changes.
